The hashtags #HomeSecretary, #SuellaBraverman, and #Sack have been trending on Twitter, with members of the public urging the Prime Minister to launch an investigation into these reports and demanding Braverman’s dismissal if the allegations prove true.

People have tweeted describing the situation as “The arrogance of power”. They stated that “Suella Braverman is and always has been unfit for national office. Rishi Sunak should never have appointed her – an error of judgement on his part.”

Green New Deal Rising co-founder Fatima Ibrahim shared her opinion on the matter in a BBC interview, stating that “ this is just an extension of her moral bankruptcy”.

Political commentator Mathew Stadlen was wondering if “ Home Secretary Suella Braverman is fit to be Home Secretary ?”

Another individual shared the news on twitter and captioned it “ It is almost as if by every moral, personal and political metric this woman is comprehensively unfit for public office.”

Labour Member of Parliament Yvette Cooper tweeted her shock over the news and stated “ Suella Braverman’s role is upholding law, but this suggests she tried to abuse her position to get round it Why do Tories think it’s one rule for them & another for everyone else? Sunak was too weak to act last time she broke Ministerial Code. Is he still too weak now?”.

People highlighted the story of Andy Burham and the way he dealt with it , they stated that “ when he was recently caught speeding. He did not ask for favours. He just accepted decision and paid the fine. What makes Suella Braverman think different set of rules apply to her? She has previous for breaking Ministerial Code, now she thinks she’s above law!”.
