UK Trend :Group C’s strong play has social media buzzing
The hashtags #Group C, #Poland, #ARGPOL and #Saudi Arabia have been all over UK trends on social media platforms following the amazing matches between Saudi Arabia and Mexico and Poland and Argentina. All four teams displayed outstanding play even though only Poland and Argentina qualified for the last 16.
All four teams had strong points, so it was unclear who would advance to the knockout stage. Fans created memes to lighten the situation.

Four Teams Attract Attention
So far in the World Cup, fans have praised Group C for its strong skill and tactical play, expressing how ‘it was the best group to watch’ so far. In their shock victory over Argentina and an unexpected goal in Mexico in the 95th minute, Saudi Arabia upset the odds.

Also, Argentina reversed their fortunes and pleased fans, as they started with an upsetting loss and then finished top of their group with six points.
Fans were still proud of Saudi Arabia’s progress and the way they beat Argentina and scored a goal against Mexico. This was because any goal was unexpected, let alone leaving with 3 points against such elite teams.

Unfortunately , the situation was not the same for Mexican fans as they were highly disappointed and suffered the loss of their team manager.
This was Mexico’s first elimination from the World Cup in 44 years and it shocked the entire football community!

Fans were annoyed with Saudi Arabia’s last-minute goal against Mexico, knowing it wouldn’t qualify them. However, it eliminated Mexico, ending Mexico’s proud record of reaching the round of 16 at every World Cup since 1978.

As for Polish fans, they took to Twitter to express their pride and joy after Poland qualified for the last 16. Polish hopes of being able to play at the World Cup were kept alive by their goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

He made some amazing saves to keep Poland’s dreams alive despite the fact that they did not score any goals. As a result, the team finished with four points in this round of the World Cup.
Group C Final Results
While Argentina lost its first match, they came out on top of Group C with six points.
