Empowering Muslim Entrepreneurs: Highlights from Islam Channel’s Ceremony in the UK
Islam Channel TV hosted an exhilarating celebration of Muslim excellence in business in the United kingdom on Friday, April 19, 2024, in London, attended by 800 individuals, including several dignitaries.
The event took place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in London, featuring a variety of activities including accolades, competitions, and screenings of short films showcasing success stories of Muslim entrepreneurs from different nationalities.
Participants also expressed solidarity with Gaza and called for an end to the blockade on the Gaza Strip. Former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn delivered a speech urging attendees not to normalize the suffering of Palestinians.

Al-Arab in UK Platform met with Mr. Soheil Zarrar, the Deputy Director of Islam Channel, who expressed his delight with the attendees at the event.
He added, “Muslims are an influential part of British society, and they have left their mark through significant projects that have impacted the British economy.”
Meanwhile, Zarrar said, “Throughout twenty years of Islam Channel broadcasting, the Palestinian cause has been and remains the focus of our attention. We stand with the Palestinians, rejecting the injustice and blockade they face. We are always with Palestine.”

During the event, “Al-Arab in UK platform” also met with Dana Ansari, the first British Muslim woman in the British Navy, who urged young Muslims to start their own projects.
Ansari added, “Young people are our ambassadors to British society. They should exploit any gap in the job market and fill it. Britain provides a suitable environment and fertile ground for projects.”
Sulaiman Raza, the CEO of Spice Village restaurant and one of the entrepreneurs at the event, mentioned the strong competition among British Muslim business owners.
He continued, “I am pleased with the recognition I received and dedicate it to the management of the restaurant. Our next step will be expansion and opening new branches for our halal food restaurant, expanding into other European countries.”
