UK TREND : Home Secretary’s latest interview causes public controversy

Suella Braverman, the home secretary, has unveiled new initiatives to stop child sexual abuse in the wake of numerous revelations about grooming gangs abusing young girls.

Political correctness, according to Mrs. Braverman, has prevented those in positions of authority from taking action. She did not hold back in naming British Pakistani perpetrators.

Home Secretary accused of “parroting far-right myths”!

She was accused of “parroting far-right myths” about British Pakistani men regarding the issue of “grooming gangs” after her statement sparked outrage in the public.

People are furious at Suella Braverman for having “demonised an entire group of British citizens based on their ethnic background,” and the hashtag #Home Secretary has been trending as a result. Although a small minority has come out in support of Braverman and expressed she “ is right in her statement”.

People were also confused as official reports by the Home office stated that “ most members of grooming gangs are of White origin” yet the Home Secretary “ is determined the focus should stay on British Asians for some reason”.

They were just disappointed in the actions of the Home Secretary, tweeting that this is “ absolute desperation from her side. Appealing to the worst people because it’s all they’ve got left. From Rwanda to grooming gangs she is utterly abhorrent.”

Another individual tweeted : “ her appearance on most news outlets has cemented Cruella Braverman’s place as the most fascist Home Secretary in living memory. Using words like British Pakistani men raping and drugging young white girls. Nothing said about white grooming gangs! Disgraceful!”.

Others who were in support of the Home Secretary shared that “ she is right to single out Pakistanis. They account for the vast majority of pedo-grooming gangs. Only a fool would think otherwise. Other groups are involved on a much lower level. Speak to people in Birmingham, Bradford, Manchester, Rotherham, Telford, etc and they will concur.”

Supporters were applauding her for coming out and talking about the issue which many have been campaigning for years, they were impressed by her actions, for “ addressing grooming gangs on TV. Highlighting British Pakistani men, labour run councils and all other institutions being complicit.”

A number of individual’s were also confused as to “ how was this not a policy before ? as it would have stopped much of the grooming gangs in Northern towns.”
