Contact with the vessel was lost roughly one hour and 45 minutes into its dive. The tour firm responsible for the submersible, Ocean Gate, has confirmed that it is taking all necessary measures to ensure the crew’s safe return. The company charges $250,000 (£195,612) per seat for expeditions to the Titanic.
