UK TREND : Police arrest Sturgeon’s husband over SNP finance issue
In what the new leader, Humza Yousaf, called “a difficult day” for the Scottish National Party, Peter Murrell, Nicola Sturgeon’s husband, was detained by police who were looking into the party’s finances.
According to Police Scotland, former SNP executive Peter Murrell has been released without being charged pending additional inquiry. Just before he was released, Ms. Sturgeon claimed in a statement that she had “no prior knowledge” of the plans to have her husband arrested.

Indivduals were furious over the way people ( Conservatives ) are gloating over the arrest of Murrell and believe that by doing this, the police have tried to damage the image of the SNP. One user shared that “ if Peter Murrell, husband of Nicola Sturgeon is guilty of any offences then he deserves what comes his way, but Tories should not gloat when they have stolen and robbed and Bled the public dry to enrich themselves and pals”.
