Al-Jazeera London correspondent Mina Harballou garners a significant reaction for wearing the hijab
The Moroccan media and Al-Jazeera correspondent in London, Mina Harballou, enjoyed a wide interaction on social media platforms, after her first media appearance while wearing the hijab.
First appearance with hijab on TV
Al-Jazeera broadcaster Abdel Samad Nasser presented his colleague in her first appearance while she was wearing the hijab, saying: “Congratulations to you for wearing the hijab, it increased your splendor and radiance on the screen.”

For her part, Harballou said on her Twitter page: “The first day on the screen with the hijab and a kind gesture from colleagues for whom I have all the respect and appreciation. May God bless you and I pray to God to grant us constancy.”

Mina Harballou covers current events in London and some Western capitals, and she was part of the team that led a campaign on board the “Zaytouna” ship to break the siege on Gaza, and was arrested by the Israeli occupation authorities

Many activists expressed their joy at seeing Harballou wearing the veil for the first time, and wished her constancy and an increase in faith.
