Free Syria Festival in Edinburgh Featuring Syrian Artist Yahya Hawwa

Edinburgh is set to host the “Free Syria Festival” on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Portobello Town Hall. The event will feature a special performance by renowned Syrian artist Yahya Hawwa, in an evening dedicated to supporting humanitarian efforts in Syria. Organized by “AlArab in UK” in collaboration with “Hope Edinburgh Arab Gathering,” all proceeds from the festival will go to Syria Relief and Action for Humanity, both of which are actively working on the ground in Syria.

Yahya Hawwa will kick off his UK tour in Birmingham on Thursday, January 23, 2025, followed by performances in Edinburgh, Manchester on Saturday, January 25, and concluding in London on Sunday, January 26.

The festival aims to raise funds for humanitarian projects in Syria, with all donations directed towards helping those in need.

Yahya Hawwa, known for his soulful and inspirational songs, will present a selection of his most popular national pieces at the event.
