Al Arab in UK Announces Date for the 2026 Arab Personality of the Year Awards Ceremony
Al Arab in UK (AUK) has announced that the 2026 Arab Personality of the Year Awards (APYA 2026) ceremony will take place on Saturday, 19 December 2026, from 5:00 pm at Hilton London Metropole. The evening will bring together the celebration of Arab achievements, community networking, arts, and humanitarian giving.
Now in its fourth edition, the ceremony continues the annual gatherings organised by Al Arab in UK since 2023 to honour Arab individuals who have made a positive impact on British society and to highlight stories of achievement in community work, science, culture, the arts, and other fields.
A Night Celebrating Arab Achievement
The evening’s programme will include the awards ceremony and a formal dinner, alongside artistic and cultural performances, with the attendance of distinguished guests and figures from the community, media, and business sectors. The event will also celebrate the achievements of Al Arab in UK and its community partnerships.
The ceremony will be hosted by media personality Ola Al-Fares, while artist Tim Saleh will give a special performance on the qanun, alongside a sand art performance that transforms stories into artworks created live before the audience.

Celebrating Achievement Through Giving
This year’s ceremony will maintain the humanitarian dimension that has characterised previous editions, with the evening featuring a fundraising campaign to support food provision for people in need, in partnership with Action For Humanity, the event’s charity partner.
The campaign will give guests an opportunity to turn an evening of celebration into tangible support for those in need, reaffirming the connection between achievement, community service, and humanitarian responsibility.

Nominations Reopen for APYA 2026
Al Arab in UK has also announced the reopening of nominations for the awards, following strong interest and requests from the public after the first round of nominations closed on 15 August 2026.
The new nomination round will open on 1 October 2026 and remain open until 11:59 pm on 31 October 2026, London time, giving more Arab individuals the opportunity to be nominated for recognition.
The award categories include Community Impact and Public Service, Culture, Arts and Sport, Science, Research, Health and Innovation, as well as the Young Achievement Award.
Once nominations close, the judging panel will review and assess the entries and prepare the shortlist, ahead of the public voting stage. Al Arab in UK will announce further details of the shortlist, voting dates, and voting process at a later stage.
