Following the emergence of this footage, the public has been demanding that the police investigate the incident and file charges. The hashtags #ToryHQ and #Partygate video have been trending on Twitter as a result.
Fines should be given to all those in attendance at this law breaking party.
And if they previously made a statement to the police saying that this was not a party, then they should be prosecuted for attempting to pervert the course of justice.https://t.co/50ZkRRYne6— Mark Ingall lives in Bush Fair (@mingall63) June 18, 2023
Individuals have raised the case of a student who was fined £10,000 for organizing a snowball fight during lockdown, while the individuals at the Tory HQ party have not faced any inquiries, despite the police now possessing photographic evidence of the incident.

In a tweet, activist Howard Beckett expressed his disgust at the video capturing the Christmas Party held at Tory HQ during the Covid lockdown. He emphasized that the footage exemplifies privilege and entitlement. Beckett also highlighted his concern regarding the fact that two individuals involved in the party were bestowed with honours, which he believes reflects the corruption within the system.
The video of the Christmas Party at Tory HQ during Covid lockdown is disgusting.
It reeks of privilege & entitlement.
The thought that two of those involved received ‘honours’ only goes to show how corrupted the system is.
Scrap the honours system & scrap the House of Lords.

The footage deeply unsettled medical professionals, who took to Twitter to express their dismay, particularly highlighting their struggles during that period while others appeared unaffected. One user recounted their experience, stating, “In December 2020, our intensive care unit (ICU) reached three times its established capacity, with a shortage of beds. We had only one nurse caring for a minimum of two ICU patients, and finding available space in nearby hospitals became increasingly challenging. Meanwhile, they were celebrating at Tory HQ.”
In December 2020, my ITU ran out of beds (despite surging to three times our established capacity). We had 1 nurse looking after at least 2 ITU patients, and it was increasingly difficult to find space in neighbouring hospitals.

Labour Member of Parliament Peter Kyle echoed a similar sentiment in his tweet, posing a question to his Twitter followers: “Just how much fun were they having in December 2020?” The video evidence makes it evident that the atmosphere at Tory HQ was filled with nothing but amusement and enjoyment, whilst others were suffering/experiencing the loss of loved ones.
How much fun were you having in December 2020?
It was all fun and games at Tory HQ.
The problem was never just Boris Johnson. The Tory Party is broken. https://t.co/Ka9wt65Ohg

The recklessness displayed by the individuals in the video sparked immense anger among the public. Those who have experienced the loss of loved ones due to Covid-19 expressed their disgust at the Tory HQ party video, while the Metropolitan Police is reportedly “considering” the footage. A collective group is demanding that the police reopen the investigation and advocating for the removal of honours from Bailey and Mallet.
I'm sorry if I still seem full of rage about #Partygate.
It's because I am.
I will NEVER forgive.
I can NEVER forget. pic.twitter.com/H6uhRQAMcF
