UK TREND : Brexit continues to fail

The ongoing Brexit debate has caused animosity between the UK and the EU for many years. It all started with a referendum in 2016, in which 52% of British citizens decided to leave the EU. Since then, Brexit has suffered a number of setbacks, including negative effects on the economy and harm to the UK’s reputation abroad. The hashtag #Brexit has failed has been top of the trend on Twitter for the past few days, and people have been using it along with the hashtag #get Brexit undone because the public has grown too frustrated with its failure. They are requesting that the government act to address the situation.

Other users were sharing images and video of grocery stores around Europe ( particularly of the fruit and vegetables isles) to show how full they are, as the “ UK press has been claiming that the fruit and vegetable shortage in the UK is a Europe wide problem due to bad weather”. One individual shared the front page of the Daily Mail with the headline “ Secret plot to unravel Brexit”. Along with the caption “ Brexit has failed miserably. This debate about Brexit should have been had long before the Brexit vote. The fact that it’s being had now almost 7 years after the Brexit vote demonstrates how ill-informed and misinformed the British people were at the time.
So, Brexit has failed miserably.
