The UK’s Arab communities are preparing to hold a multitude of diverse activities and events to help bring Arabs throughout the United Kingdom together and strengthen their ties.

Small Businesses Exhibition

The Arab Forum in the UK is organizing an exhibition in support of start-ups and small businesses in the capital London on March 19th, which marks the end of the holy month of Sha’ban.

 

The exhibition will include many surprises and fun activities such as: a traditional clothing fashion show, a display of Ramadan sweets and foods from the delicious Moroccan and Algerian cuisines, in addition to a display of various products such as oils and traditional utensils.

 

Visitors can also partake in many competitions, including a singing contest.

Arab Communities Day (Charity)

In a celebration of all things Arab, the Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB) is organizing a massive charity event under the title “Arab Communities Day” in London, with performances by 2 well-known Arab singers; Syrian Yahya Hawwa, and Yemeni Abdul Qadir Qawza.

 

Held for the eighth consecutive year, Arab Communities Day is considered the largest event for UK Arabs. Its 2022 edition carries “Jerusalem in our hearts” as its main slogan. Ten Arab countries are expected to participate, showcasing their diverse cuisine and heritage in one space.

Tamkeen Charity Event

Tamkeen Charitable organization invites one and all to visit an “open day”, in which it will host multiple vendors, selling a variety of products such as houseware, food and sweets, drinks, bags, hijabs and praying clothes, accessories, and books.

Layali Al-Sharq Exhibition

Celebrating the holy month of Ramadan, all Arabs are welcomed to the “Layali Al Sharq” (Eastern Nights) exhibition, which will be held for the third time.

 

The exhibition will offer delectable dishes from the Egyptian, Moroccan and Syrian cuisines, as well as many oriental sweets. It will also display household appliances, a wide variety of abayas and other traditional clothing and accessories for sale.

 

Children will also have the chance to win various prizes in a series of fun and entertaining contests.

Ghadames: the city of culture and heritage

The Libyan community is organizing a cultural evening celebrating the rich history and culture of the city known as ‘the pearl of the desert’, including displays of handicrafts, books, photographs, and traditional foods pertaining to Ghadames.

Aqsa Week

The Palestinian community in Edinburgh will celebrate Aqsa Week by offering activities fit for the entire family, including kids’ performances and storytelling. As well as a ‘Ladies Night’, in which they can enjoy a henna party and a fashion show.

Monthly Muslim Market

In support of SMEs, the monthly Islamic Market will be held in Birmingham, where you can find many unique products and handicrafts from across the UK that you simply cannot find anywhere else!

Mother’s Day Fair

Organizers of the 12-hour “Mother’s Day Fair” promise visitors with various food and sweet vendors, as well as displays of paintings, handicrafts, kitchenware, clothes and jewelry. The fair celebrates Mother’s Day, along with the holy month of Ramadan.

Moroccan & Arab exhibition

Arabs in Britain will celebrate the blessed month of Ramadan with the second Western and Arab exhibition held at the Hilton Hotel in Watford on March 13, where many Arab works, such as fashion and arts, will be displayed. The fair will also dedicate a special section to Moroccan and Arabic delicacies.

 

Everything the fair has to offer can be enjoyed with a ticket costing £5 for adults, and free for children under 12 years old.
