West London Gathering for Palestinian Solidarity and Eid Celebrations
The Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB) invites you to a family gathering this Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 3 pm to 7 pm in Acton Park, West London. This event will celebrate Eid al-Adha and demonstrate solidarity with Gaza.
Mothers from the community will contribute homemade dishes to a large buffet, which will be sold at reasonable prices. Proceeds will be dedicated to humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
The afternoon will feature children’s entertainment but will not include formal speeches, creating a relaxed atmosphere for personal interactions. A brief mention of the upcoming UK general elections on July 4 will be made, reminding attendees of the importance of their vote.
This gathering is part of the Palestinian Forum in Britain’s ongoing effort, in cooperation with the Arab Voice and Muslim Vote campaigns, to influence the elections. It aims to hold accountable those who have let down Gaza and to support candidates who advocate for peace and the cessation of arms exports to the occupying forces.
The forum is known for organizing social events in cities with notable Palestinian communities, including London, Manchester, Newcastle, and Edinburgh. This event is open to the public, and food will be available for purchase until supplies run out.
