A Twitter user named Antonia posted a picture of a “wall of kindness” she found in London, complete with free coats and hats that could be taken by those in need and left by those who can spare them for others.

People also celebrated the snow, which they haven’t seen in a while, by sharing photos and videos of it from various locations, especially in England.

The affection that Londoners have for snow, which they don’t see frequently, was also demonstrated by content creators like Tomi, who tweeted several photographs of the snow he had captured.

Despite the public’s delight in the snowfall, those who were affected by travel disruptions expressed their anger on social media. Due to delays and cancellations, Gatwick, Heathrow, and Stansted were trending on Twitter.

Long delays are being experienced at Gatwick Airport due to bitterly cold weather. With temperatures well below freezing, people have reported sitting on planes “for hours” while they de-ice.

Due to un-forecast snow, Gatwick Airport temporarily closed one of its runways at 17:55 GMT. Snow clearing teams were in place at the airport and the runway was reopened at 20:00.

Heathrow was also chaotic !

Heathrow airport is Britain’s largest and should have been able to deal with issues like difficult weather, but it was also chaotic. Travelers at Heathrow have faced queues up to five hours long and a series of flight cancellations ‘ without explanation’.

Furthermore, Stansted Airport has suspended all flights after its runway was closed due to bad weather. Due to the cancellations, individuals were left stranded, with nowhere to go in the middle of a snowstorm and took to Twitter to express their frustration. (onlinepharmacyreviews.net) There were many cases of flight diversions that resulted in passengers being placed in places they had not intended to be.

There have also been cancellations or delays at Gatwick and Heathrow following the snow, ice, and freezing fog that blanketed the country.

Until Monday morning, Scotland, London and south-west England remain under a yellow weather warning, posing a further disruption risk. Motorway accidents and train delays have also occurred.

The airlines recommends that passengers check their flight status as well as local travel conditions prior to departing for the airport !
