UK TREND: Twitter reacts to Titanic submarine disappearance

A search and rescue operation has been launched by the US coast guard for a submarine crew of five individuals, including UK billionaire Hamish Harding, who has been reported missing in the Atlantic Ocean during a tour of the wreckage of the Titanic on a submersible craft.
Contact with the vessel was lost roughly one hour and 45 minutes into its dive. The tour firm responsible for the submersible, Ocean Gate, has confirmed that it is taking all necessary measures to ensure the crew’s safe return. The company charges $250,000 (£195,612) per seat for expeditions to the Titanic.

A sarcastic comment was made by another user, stating that it is absurd to spend $250k only to face a fate similar to that of the Titanic.
Paying 250k to end up like the Titanic is crazy https://t.co/w3RUt35fsV

Colette Harrington, the actress, expressed that perhaps the Titanic claimed five additional lives. She suggested that visiting the site of such a tragic demise may not be advisable, recounting the disappearance of a submarine vessel used to transport the curious to witness the wreck. The incident left her with an unsettling feeling.
Did the Titanic take five more lives? Maybe visiting a haunting death scene is not a good idea. A submarine craft used to take curiosity seekers to see the wreck vanished. It feels eerie. 🙏 https://t.co/isH7yph5Vr

Michelle Hamilton, the author, shares a similar perspective. In a tweet, she stated that in light of the submarine’s unfortunate disappearance during a leisurely expedition to the Titanic wreckage, it is now imperative to cease all commercial journeys to the Titanic. Hamilton emphasized that the Titanic is a solemn resting place, and the continuous influx of tourist trips has caused irreversible harm to the site.
