The British police take the Queen’s son at his word regarding sexual accusations

Trooping The Colour in London
11 October 2021

The sexual accusations against the Duke of York are left with no further action as police take the queen’s son at his word.

The force had assessed a document released in August 2021 as part of Virginia Giuffre’s sexual offence lawsuit against Prince Andrew, according to Sky News.

Sexual Accusations against Prince Andrew, Duke of York

Giuffre claims she was trafficked by Jeffree Epstein – the prince’s former friend – and was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew in 2001. She was 17 years old at the time – a minor under US law.

In reference to the claims about Prince Andrew, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick had said “no one is above the law“.

The allegations against the late Epstein have now been put to rest in the UK. The verdict is “no further action will be taken.” The case was originally reported by Channel 4, in which Epstein was said to have trafficked, groomed and abused women and girls in the UK.

The Met will keep in contact with other parties investigating the Epstein case but will no longer be involved. The force said it “reviewed information passed to us by a media organisation in June 2021” and decided “no further action will be taken”.
