Outrageous bill for dinner at Chef Nusret’s restaurant in London

An anonymous account posted a receipt of celebrity restaurant Nusr-Et Steakhouse in London’s Knightsbridge, where a customer spent an outrageous amount of money. It quickly went viral, with social media bashing the rich.

The receipt shows that the diner has spent £37,000 in the Instagram and social media famous Chef Nusret Gokce’s steakhouse, reports the Daily Mail.

Infamous for being extremely expensive, the restaurant’s bill included items such as a steak wrapped in gold sheets costing £1,450. Even more ridiculous, the service alone totalled £4,829.10.

Space camp for the rich to enjoy zero gravity

Having scoured the earth, the rich are now looking to space tourism. For about £30,000, the wealthy class can enjoy a simulation of a space trip in a zero-gravity environment, reports the Telegraph.

The space camp consists of a three day ‘astronaut orientation’, but without the trials and tribulations real astronauts must face. Naturally, since they paid an outrageous amount of money, all participants are provided with luxurious meals and services.

According to wealth managers Canaccord Genuity, suborbital tourism alone is expected to be worth $8bn by 2030.

Cholesterol-lowering drug users are less likely to die from Covid (study)

A new study says that people taking cholesterol-lowering medicine regularly are less likely to die from Covid.

Published in PLOS Medicine, the study used data from Swedish registers over the age of 45. According to the research, the users of cholesterol-lowering drugs in the group saw less Covid mortality rates.

However, experts warn that the research findings cannot scientifically prove that statins can reduce Covid death rates, says the Guardian

This theory has been debated quite a lot since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic. Covid-19 can cause inflammation of the blood vessels, quotes the Guardian. And statins reduce inflammation in blood vessels.

Nonetheless, the study’s findings exclude a multitude of elements that could affect whether cholesterol-lowering medicine can actually lower the possibility of a Covid death.
