Muslim Association of Britain votes a new president

The Shura & Council for the Muslim Association of Britain (MAB) held their 9th cycle session recently, and 17 of their members had attended, including Sabri Sharif on behalf of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB).
Members of the council had chosen the previous president of the MAB Raghad Al-Takriti as the president of the council, making her the first woman ever to be head of the Shura & Council for the MAB.
Muslim Association of Britain New President
This year, the council had voted for Obada Sawalha to be the new president of the MAB, one of the biggest Muslim associations in the UK and a part of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB).
The council had also voted for 4 more members to join them, making the total number 21 members in the Shura & Council for MAB.

The new president of the Shura & Council, Raghad Al-Takriti, stressed: “the importance of working together aiming to achieve greater things in the name of the association. Hoping the new year brings more success, development, and growth”.
She added thanking the women and men of the association for their constant help and efforts during the last years. One of the challenges the association faced was employing the efforts of young women and men within the Muslim Association of Britain.
As for the new president of the Muslim Association of Britain, Obada Sawalha, he had emphasized the importance of developing the managerial structure of the Muslim Association of Britain as well as focusing on public relations and networking. He added that those efforts will help the association grow more within the society ensuring bigger achievements.
Obada had also promised to keep the Muslim Association of Britain’s door always open for those who wish to help in the association.
