The worker that approached Younes had walked him to the station offices where he was also praised for his heroic actions by the woman in charge.
He told AUK that the woman asked him “Were you not afraid you die?”, but he stressed that the human and religious values he believes in encourage him to help other despite their religion or race.
Younes then asked the workers if it is possible to have the clip recording of what occurred, but they, unfortunately, declined but proceed to take his personal info to send him a Thank You card.
No gratitude was shown to the Muslim hero
However, Younes told AUK that he did not receive any official thanks. And he believes that would be due to the double standards that foreign governments hold against Muslims and Arabs where they portray them as violent thirsty people. (Ambien)
He said “The government would have shown me gratitude if I were European. I acted on the values I was raised with as a Muslim, and they are the same values my parents were raised on, and we will pass them to the future generations too”
It is worth mentioning too that the incident happened days after Younes underwent surgery on his back. More to add to his heroic selfishness act
