Marcus and Helen convert a truck into a solar powered home
Marcus Williams and Helen Ambler spent 18 months and £55,000 to but a trailer and convert into their very solar-powered home.
The young couple turned a lorry trailer into their dream green home. Originally from Rippon, they told Yorkshire Live their lorry home is the UK’s first HGV lorry trailer fully converted into a home.
According to the Mirror, Marcus and Helen renovated the 44-foot-long HGV trailer on their own and are already planning their next project. Their fully renovated lorry home features a double bedroom with built-in wardrobes, a bathroom with step-in shower and compostable toilet and a traditional vintage kitchen. It has a large folding dining table, French windows and a log burner and solar panels.

Even though they have lived in the trailer parked near York, but they are planning to enter it as a raffle prize. They will use the raffle ticket money they acquire to launch an even bigger project.
They plan to sell up to 4,000 raffle tickets that cost £20 for each ticket. That is how they plan to raise funds for the bigger, yet unspecified project they’re looking forward to, The Mirror reported.
