London to Host Conference on Global Responsibility for Gaza
An international conference titled Naming Genocide: The Global Responsibility for Gaza is set to take place in Central London on Saturday, 22 February 2025. Organised by the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC), the event will bring together experts, advocates, and policymakers to address pressing issues of justice, accountability, and solidarity concerning Gaza.
The full-day conference will explore themes such as international obligations under genocide law, first-hand accounts of life in Gaza, and the role of global solidarity in achieving justice. Attendees will include academics, activists, and members of the public interested in international law and human rights.
The event runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with food and refreshments provided. It will feature panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and contributions from a range of speakers, including legal experts, advocates, and individuals from Gaza.
The PRC, a London-based organisation with consultative status at the United Nations, has long campaigned for Palestinian rights and aims to draw attention to what it describes as the international community’s responsibility to prevent and address genocide in Gaza.
Registration for the conference is now open, with further details available on the Eventbrite page. The exact venue will be confirmed closer to the event.
The PRC has stated that the event will serve as a platform to highlight the lived experiences of Gaza’s residents and to examine the legal and moral responsibilities of the international community.
