Home Secretary Priti Patel announced measures to control immigration, including threatening to imprisoning illegal immigrants for four years, and using the military to stop with the small boat crisis.
In day 3 of the Conservative Party Conference, Patel impressed Tories with her new crackdown on illegal immigration. She said that asylum seekers who enter UK illegally could be jailed for four years.

She indicated that she – along Boris Johnson – have worked diligently secure UK’s borders by allying with the police, maritime experts, and the military. They collaborated to find ‘solutions’ for the small boat immigration crisis.
According to the Sun, Ms Patel’s speech was met with cheers and a standing ovation at the conference in Manchester on Tuesday.
She also vowed to crackdown on illegal immigration and promised to prioritise those who follow the set rules to enter the UK. Adding: “For the first time, how somebody arrives in the United Kingdom will impact how their asylum claim is processed.
“Our new laws will speed up the removal of those with no legal right to be in our country.”
The Home Secretary the declared that France is a safe country for asylum seeker to pass through instead of resorting to dangerous trips in small boats.
“I make no apology for securing our borders and exploring all options to save lives by ending these horrific journeys.”
