Kent has seen the arrival of over 60 migrants crossing the Channel on three dinghies. They were immediately detained by officers upon reaching the coast, Daily Mail says.
This comes after days of over 1500 migrants illegally reaching British shores in only four days. Some British newspapers and magazines are calling this current surge in migration numbers a “migrant crisis”.

Lorry driver shortages.. Should we be concerned?
Many sectors have been hit by the shortages in lorry drivers; fuel seeing the biggest hit of all. But how concerned should the country be?
According to the BBC, the UK is seeing a shortage of more than 100,000 qualified drivers.
EU Lorry Drivers never make up more than 15% of all UK HGV drivers 🇬🇧. The Lorry driver shortage has is nothing to do with EU Drivers not being able to drive in the UK. It’s down to pay and working conditions. pic.twitter.com/N32ohQ4EtJ

The government is trying multiple measure in order to mitigate the shortage’s effects on the country. These include temporary visas, increased HGV licence testing and better working conditions for the sector.
The effects thus far have been most apparent in supply shortages in supermarkets and petrol forecourts. Some supermarkets have seen empty shelves in fresh produce and short shelf-life items.
