Al-Arab in the UK Announces Its First Organised Group Umrah Journey
Al-Arab in the UK (AUK) has announced the launch of its first organised group Umrah journey, an initiative aimed at bringing together members of the Arab and Muslim community in Britain in a shared spiritual experience centred on organisation, companionship and collective worship.
The programme, organised in partnership with Sawa Travel, seeks to provide a structured Umrah journey tailored to the needs of Arabs living in Britain, while easing the logistical challenges that often accompany travel for pilgrimage.
According to the organisers, the initiative is designed to allow worshippers to perform Umrah within a supportive environment that combines careful planning with the spirit of a close-knit community.
Nine Nights of Worship and Reflection

The journey will run for 9 nights, from 23 October to 1 November 2026, through a carefully organised travel programme designed to ensure comfort and smooth arrangements for participants.
The itinerary begins with departure from London Heathrow Airport to Madinah, while the return journey will depart from Jeddah, allowing for a more convenient travel route.
During the trip, worshippers will spend:
- 3 nights in Madinah
- 4 nights in Makkah
- 2 nights in Jeddah, widely known as the Bride of the Red Sea
Participants will stay in selected hotels offering daily breakfast buffets, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout the journey.
The package also includes visa arrangements, internal transport in modern vehicles, and organised visits to key Islamic landmarks in both Madinah and Makkah.
Spiritual Programme and Nasheed Gatherings

The organisers say the journey will also feature a dedicated spiritual programme aimed at enhancing the collective experience of worshippers.
Participants will be accompanied by the well-known nasheed artist Mustafa Al-Azzawi, whose performances of prophetic praise and spiritual nasheeds are expected to accompany gatherings and visits throughout the trip.
Organisers say the aim is to create an atmosphere that strengthens the spiritual dimension of the journey, allowing worshippers to experience Umrah not only as a religious obligation but also as a shared moment of reflection and faith.
The programme will also include the participation of a number of scholars and community figures from Britain, contributing to the educational and spiritual aspects of the journey.
The initiative carries the motto: “Umrah with the spirit of community… and the reassurance of organised travel.”
Accessible Pricing

Despite the range of services included, organisers say the programme has been designed to remain accessible to members of the community.
Packages start from £1,890 per person, while children’s packages are available from £1,100.
The organisers say the price covers all services throughout the journey, with no hidden charges.
