Kristen Lowery, 40, from Escalon, California, was said to have ‘unexpectedly’ passed away on September 15 after a battle with the disease, leaving behind four children.
A mum who posted anti-vaccine images and comments on social media has died of Covid.
Kristen Lowery, 40, from Escalon, California, was said to have ‘unexpectedly’ passed away on September 15 after a battle with the disease.
On her Facebook profile, which has since been set to private, she had posted anti-vaccine protests and called herself ‘unmasked, unmuzzled, unvaccinated, unafraid.’
In another post she called herself a ‘free thinker’ and said ‘together we win.’
In one image she can be seen holding up a placard that reads ‘give a voice to the vaccine injured.’
Her family were said to have written on the same social media platform that she had been hospitalised after battling Covid.
Her sister Cassie, was reported to have said that she was ‘in the hospital fighting for her life against Covid and pneumonia.’
She added: “My sister has a long life left. We need you here, sissy. Your kids love and miss you so much. Please don’t give up.”
She also said that it wasn’t ‘political’ and she was not interested in hearing anyone else’s opinions on vaccines.
Then, last week, two family members posted on the social media platform that she had ‘died from Covid,’ as her aunt mourned that her ‘heart is breaking for her 4 kids’.
She wrote: “So many people need her here, but God must have special plans for her in heaven.”
Following her death last week she leaves behind four children.
The case attracted a number of comments on social media, responding via Facebook.
One person wrote: “Why don’t people understand the importance of vaccines for everyone?”
Another said: “I have very little sympathy these days for people who choose not to get the vaccine and wear a mask”.
