Al Arab in UK Celebrates YouTube Silver Play Button Milestone
Al-Arab in UK (AUK) has received YouTube’s Silver Play Button after its channel surpassed 100,000 subscribers, marking a significant milestone that reflects years of media work and the platform’s commitment to producing diverse content for Arab audiences in Britain and around the world.
Although YouTube typically grants the award when a channel reaches 100,000 subscribers, the delivery of the Silver Play Button was delayed for some time. By the time it arrived, the AUK’s YouTube channel had already exceeded 140,000 subscribers, highlighting the continued growth of the channel and the expanding interest in the content it provides.
A Milestone Built on Audience Support
The platform said this achievement would not have been possible without the strong support it has received from its audience, supporters, and loyal followers, describing them as the true partners behind its success.
It added that the Silver Play Button represents recognition for the audience as much as it represents recognition for the platform itself.

Adnan Hmidan, head of AUK, said receiving YouTube’s Silver Play Button represents “a natural recognition after reaching this number of followers”.
