London Prepares for a New Edition of the “Dandoushat Ramadan Tent”… Ramadan of Old Returns with Authentic Egyptian Flavors
London is preparing to welcome a special Ramadan event that carries the scent of memories and the spirit of traditional Ramadan. The Dandoushat Ramadan Tent will launch as part of the “Your Ramadan with Arabs of London” competition, in an event that continues a series of successful activities held over several years and Ramadan seasons, which have attracted a large turnout of Arab families.
The event will take place on Saturday, 7 March 2026, at Sham Hall in the Park Royal area of West London, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, featuring wide participation from exhibitors and artistic groups.
Egyptian Ramadan Atmosphere… Nostalgia for Simpler Times
The Dandoushat Ramadan Tent takes visitors on a journey to Ramadan of old, where nostalgia is present through settings that simulate the traditional markets and Ramadan festivals in Egypt, accompanied by the aromas of traditional foods, the sounds of religious chants (tawasheeh), and the joy of children.
A Variety of Programs for the Whole Family
The event includes a rich program of activities, such as:
- The Tanoura dance
- Ramadan religious chants (tawasheeh)
- The call to prayer (adhan)
- Entertainment segments and competitions
- Boogie and Tomtom shows for children
Ramadan Market and Eid Preparations
The event also features a Ramadan market and Eid preparations, including:
- Eid cookies
- Traditional robes (abayas)
- Accessories
- Food stalls
Instant Prizes and Iftar Vouchers
As part of the “Your Ramadan with Arabs of London” competition, instant prizes and £50 iftar vouchers will be offered in an initiative aimed at supporting families and encouraging community participation during the holy month.
