Muslim Immigrants face many parental challenges, especially when it comes to the differences between their Islamic views and the laws and guardianship roles in the west. Living as an immigrant in the west can sometimes even mean the removal of the right to their Islamic identity

There are many pieces of evidence, even though they differ in accuracy from one country to another, that show systemic racism within those countries.

This racism is not shown by the individual employee, it is deeply rooted within the system against Muslim immigrants.

With respect to the opinions of the various religious groups and those who believe the fatwa of their scholars stating to go back to their countries in order to protect their children, this is not an option for a lot of Muslim immigrants.

The important thing here is not to point fingers or turn Muslim immigrants against their society or the state. Creating an extremist society will only create an even bigger problem and more racism.

Solutions should be created to solve the root of the problem. The first method would be a political debate and showing our own culture and identity to society, to help explain our values.

The second is re-educating teachers and parents through curricula based on Islamic values. What is important is the strength of their understanding and making them available to generations to come.

The third would be to fully understand state laws and regulations, not to endorse their principles that differ from the Islamic nature but to spare families the pain of losing their kids, separation, or isolation. This method was used on the natives of North America as colonizers justified their actions by showing the “vulgar” side of the natives and their difference from their culture.

In this situation and corrupt society and system, it is best advised to be together.
