Snow is Almost At The Door!
Snow is coming early this year, as forecasters warn of a sudden drop in temperature in the last third of October.
As Autumn came, temperatures had witnessed a noticeable drop, with the nights getting colder. Forecasters expect snow to fall across Wales and west Scotland on October 24th, except for England, but the temperature will drop in the north.
Experts at Accuweather are expecting a cold stormy condition to hit UK shores and last until the end of November.
It is expected for the temperature to reach 0C north of Scotland, with some parts of the country dropping as low as 1C.
As for England, the Temperature will remain at 4C across the country. But it will drops to 2C in some areas in the north.
Taking into consideration that the predicted temperature is 4C lower than it should be for this time of the year.
Possibility of Night Time Frosts
The Director of forecasters at Weather Outlook told the Express, there might be a possibility of frost forming at night by the end of this month. He added that snow might fall on the “high grounds” in the north.
The forecaster warned on Monday from a cold blast and snow falling in November. Which means a possibility of white Halloween. (treehouselodge.com)
Weather forecaster John Hammond has said that the freezing weather could also be brought about due to the weakening of the polar winds than usual. “There are signs of the stratosphere experiencing an unusual warming in the next few days, causing the polar vortex above the Arctic Circle to become less strong than normal later in October,”.
“These high-altitude winds normally intensify as we head towards winter. So an unusual weakening of the polar vortex may well have impacts on our weather later through autumn and into early winter.”
With the change of the weather, snow will be visiting us early this year. So we advise being prepared for the coming cold storm, like bringing a shovel, making sure the heat generator is working, or buying wood for the fireplace, as well as being careful when going out in the morning because of the frost.
