Syrians in Britain to mark second anniversary of Syria’s liberation at London event
Syrians in Britain will mark the second anniversary of the liberation of Syria and the fall of the Assad regime on 8 December 2024 with a celebration in Harrow, London, on Sunday 6 December 2026.
The event, organised by the Syrian British Consortium in cooperation with the Syria Solidarity Campaign, will feature Syrian singer Abdul Karim Hamdan and content creator Bisher Najjar.
The celebration will run from 4pm to 8pm at Christchurch Avenue, Harrow HA3 5BD.
Abdul Karim Hamdan and Bisher Najjar among featured guests
Abdul Karim Hamdan will headline the musical programme. Hamdan is a well-known Syrian singer whose songs include Ya Wayli and Waja‘ Bokra.
Bisher Najjar will hold an interactive session with the audience in the style of Al-Jahbaz, the YouTube programme he writes and presents. Najjar is among a generation of Syrian content creators who have built a substantial following among younger audiences.
The programme will also feature a DJ set of songs associated with the Syrian revolution, alongside a selection of Syrian food.
Organisers have described the event as an “exceptional Syrian evening” bringing together Syrians, Arabs and friends of the community in Britain to celebrate the anniversary.
Ticket prices
A limited number of early-bird adult tickets are available for £10. The price will rise to £20 once the offer ends.
Tickets for children under 12 cost £5 and will remain at the same price.

How to book
Tickets are available online only, and organisers say there will be no ticket sales at the door.
