London Hospitals are Packed with the Unvaccinated

Hospitals are suffering significant impacts due to surge in critical coronavirus cases. Between July 14 and September 2, 203 patients with Covid-19 were admitted to intensive care across northeast London hospitals. 90% of said patients are unvaccinated.
According to the Barts Health Trust, a third of all people in ICU wards are there because of coronavirus complications. This directly affects the care of those with cancer, heart disease and other conditions.
Parjam Zolfaghari, a consultant in intensive care medicine at Barts, explained to “Evening Standard”: “On average, a person with Covid-19 stays in an ICU bed for three times longer than patients who are admitted with other conditions”.
Adding that: “The ongoing admission of patients with Covid-19 to critical care units is impacting already stretched staff. It is also causing sustained pressure on services across northeast London.”
The percentage of unvaccinated individuals in ICU shows that vaccinations are the best way to reduce your chances of becoming seriously ill with Covid-19 and ending up in hospital.
