London will host Arab Communities Day 2026 on Sunday, 1 February, bringing together Arab culture, identity, and humanitarian solidarity in a full-day public event that reflects the unity of Arab communities in the UK amid ongoing regional crises.

The event will take place at Byron Hall (HA3 5BD) from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, offering visitors an open cultural space that blends heritage celebration with collective humanitarian action. This year’s gathering carries a powerful message of unity under the theme:

“One Heart, One Struggle: From Gaza to Sudan”

A slogan that underscores shared human concerns and popular solidarity with communities affected by war and humanitarian catastrophe.

Wide Arab Participation Through Cultural Pavilions

Arab Communities Day will feature cultural pavilions representing a broad range of Arab countries. Confirmed participants include:

The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Egypt, Yemen, Eritrea, Palestine, Lebanon, and Libya, while Jordan’s participation remains under confirmation.

Each pavilion will showcase elements of national heritage and social identity through:

  • Traditional and folkloric displays
  • National and cultural costumes
  • Handmade crafts
  • Educational materials on history and culture

Throughout the day, the pavilions will also host interactive cultural and artistic workshops, offering educational and creative activities suitable for all age groups.

Palestinian Dabke Without Political Speeches

A Palestinian dabke performance will form part of the programme, highlighting one of the most enduring symbols of Palestinian cultural identity and reaffirming Palestine’s presence within the wider Arab cultural landscape.

Organisers have confirmed that the event will be free of political speeches or formal addresses, placing exclusive focus on culture, art, and heritage as tools of expression and solidarity.

Arab Cuisine in Support of Gaza and Sudan

The event will include an open food area offering a wide selection of traditional Arab dishes. All meals are fully donated by Arab women volunteers keen to share their culinary heritage in London as an act of cultural pride and humanitarian commitment.

Organisers confirmed that all food proceeds and donations will be directed toward humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza and Sudan.

Dedicated Programme for Children

A separate hall will be allocated for children, featuring a two-hour structured programme that includes:

  • Educational and interactive activities
  • Simple art workshops
  • Creative sessions designed for young audiences

The children’s programme will be supervised by trained volunteers.

Annual Initiative by the Palestinian Forum’s Women’s Section
