Give them Warmth
Launched by Al-Arab in UK (AUK), in cooperation with the officially registered Syria focused charity in the UK, Syria Relief, “Give them Warmth” is a ten-day online donation campaign starting from Friday, January 29, 2022, which aims to help protect the displaced in northern Syria against the cold winter months.
Over 5 million Syrians live in around 1500 official and makeshift camps, who are all unable to enjoy even the basic minimum standard of living.
These families suffer in tents that do not protect themselves from the summer heat nor the winter cold, and their tragedy is renewed every year.
Give them a Home
This year, volunteering organizations have intensified their efforts to provide them with decent housing, including the Syria focused charity: Syria Relief.
Syria Relief is preparing to build a new village for displaced Syrians in northern Syria, which will provide shelter and all the amenities and utilities these people need.
The village will be built on a 550,000 square meters of land, with plans to provide about a 1,000 new homes for nearly 6,000 people.
While the village is still under development, the charity has already completed the construction of 100 homes, with 150 set to be completed by February 2022.
Each house will have two bedrooms and a kitchen, with working electricity and running water, as well as all other basic utilities to house thousands of people, young and old, and help them lead a decent life.
Alongside the shelters, Syria Relief aims to build other facilities in the village, which include a school, a hospital, a park, a community centre, and a shopping mall.
